Dr Rheyah Vihahn
BDS Rajiv Gandhi 2007
GDC No. 185707
From a young age, I have an appreciation for art, which drew my interest towards choosing dentistry as my career. The precision and the dexterity involved to bring about huge transformation in people's smiles is what inspires me. As a general dental practitioner, I strive to keep adept with the knowledge by attending various courses pertaining to different aspects of day-to-day dentistry such as aesthetics, prosthetics, oral surgery etc. so that I can provide wide range of services.
Anxiety is a growing problem amongst adults especially relating to dental care. To provide a relaxed atmosphere and gain back patients trust due to previous unpleasant experiences likely encountered during young ages, I completed a core course in conscious sedation involving provision of inhalation and intravenous sedation for nervous and anxious patients. Further enhanced skills in oral surgery by completing a core course in oral surgery which helps me tackle difficult and stubborn extractions.
In 2014, I did the Diploma in restorative dentistry from Royal college of surgeons, England, which enables me to focus on the cosmetic side of dentistry to improve people's smiles and hence their confidence.
Besides dentistry, I have a great passion for animals and spend my free time with my 3 yr old cockerpoo. I learn Indian classical music and this helps me to keep myself composed and calm in today's stressful situations. I volunteer for animal charities and have actively been involved with one of India's animal shelters based in the North, Animal Aid Unlimited.
